We have a brand new slate of online workshops for 2025. I’m looking forward to each one of them, and after reading this, I’m hoping you’re tempted by one as well. Let’s take a look.
Becoming a More Creative Photographer Online Workshop
Feb. 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2025
Facilitator: Rob Knight
It’s easy to study the technical aspects of photography to improve your camera skills. There are endless books, videos, classes, etc that cover aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, but what about creativity? What techniques can we employ in order to create more compelling and expressive photos?
This course will seek to answer those questions.
We will discuss how to train yourself to recognize images that make your heart sing. Perception is an important key to creating great work, and we will explore practices to hone our perception. Speaking of “great work,” what makes a photo great? Is it internal satisfaction or external acclaim?
I will lead these discussions and more, with assignments designed to apply the ideas we discuss in class. This course will demonstrate that creativity is is a way of being, not an outcome. I’m sure you will come away with beautiful images, but more importantly, you will learn a creative practice that you can apply to photography and beyond!

Examples of recommended gear include iPhone 14, 15, or 16, USB-C iPads, and compact cameras such as the Ricoh GR, Fujifilm X100 V, VI, Fujifilm XF-10, and other modern, pocketable devices. We'll also learn iOS photo software to turbocharge our workflow, add geotags, and publish. Examples, but not limited to, Photomator, Lightroom Mobile, ON1 Mobile, RAW Power, and Photos for iOS.
Applied Techniques for Professional Real Estate Photography
Our New Pro Series!
Begins April 9th - 8 Sessions
Facilitator: Rob Knight
Certificate Class
Do you want to know a secret about real estate photography? Many people who photograph homes for real estate agents have no previous photography experience. People jump into this industry every day with an iPhone or entry-level camera and a tiny bit of “training” on YouTube.
You have a head start over the absolute beginner if you understand even a little bit about exposure and composition. Imagine what you can do with that head start if you combine your knowledge with techniques and real-world experience from a professional real estate photographer. It probably won’t take long before the quality of the work in your portfolio sets you apart from other photographers in your area.
Rob Knight has photographed many important real estate listings in Atlanta, Georgia over the past 4 years, including the most expensive home in Atlanta’s history. These top-of-the-line listings require more than a cursory knowledge of his craft. Rob has applied his 20 years of photography experience to develop an immersive and informative style that helps generate interest and, more importantly, sales.

Sonoma County Autumn Adventure Photo Workshop
Nov. 4-7, 2025
Facilitator: Derrick Story
This multi-dimensional workshop features a variety of locations spanning from the rugged Sonoma Coast, to magistic redwoods, to colorful, sprawling vineyards, and the amazing Safari West African Animal Preserve.
Referred to as the Sonoma Serengeti, Safari West is located on 400 rolling acres in the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains and is home to hundreds of African animals, including exotic birds, mammals, and reptiles. We will explore this habitat in a private tour designed for photographers. We'll be driving through large open areas with unobstructed views of the creatures we discover.
But the adventure does not end there. During this workshop, we'll enjoy a private wine tasting led by a wine educator, and stand on the cliffs of the rugged Sonoma Coast for stunning landscape work, and so much more. A true adventure indeed!
This workshop is limited to 7 participants.
