Every summer, I organize an online infrared photography workshop. The goal of this month-long event is to explore digital imaging outside of the visible light spectrum.
The tools are relatively simple: a digital camera, IR filter, and software to finetune the pictures. But the vision and skill of the photographers are what make this event so satisfying.
We had our final presentations yesterday where each participant shared six images that were part of their class assignments. The artists talked about their work and shared the techniques they used to create it. It’s fantastic.
I’ve selected one image from each photographer to share with you. Again, the tools are simple, but the output is truly creative.
If you would like to get in touch with any of these artists to see more of their work, use the Contact Form on The Nimble Photographer website. You can also use the Contact Form to get on the mailing list for next year’s slate of workshops.
Wow, some fantastic creations! Infrared is one area of photography I have not tried yet but always looks very cool and fun.
