Love my Pen-F. I use it less since the OM-1 came out because of its "outdoor" features including weather proofing. We need a Pen-F ii with weather proofing and some of the autofocus and ND features of the OM-1.
I recently switched systems, but couldn’t let go of my Pen-F and a couple of those small lenses you mentioned. I also like the Panasonic 35-100mm ƒ/4-5.6 for a little reach. I’d love to hear more about your film recipes.
I'm curious as to how you see and use both the PEN F and the X100V.
On the one hand, they're apples and oranges - m4/3 vs. APS-C, interchangeable lens vs. fixed lens, electronic viewfinder only vs. hybrid viewfinder, standard shutter vs. leaf shutter, etc.
On the other, there are similarities. They are both compact, both sport a retro design (though not retro controls), both have exceptional build quality, and both are optimized for getting great images right out of camera with minimal (if any) post-processing.
Thanks for another kick! I read this and am reminded (yet again) what an idiot I was not buying one of these when I had the opportunity and was seriously considering it some years ago. Wrong decision.
I could not agree more! A great camera that usually has the 14-42 ez of the Oly 17/1.8 mounted. It is my go everywhere street camera. I really don’t mind that it does not have the latest bells an whistles..

What a terrific post! Thanks.
I have the Pen F. Love it. Beautiful build. Easy to carry. Very versatile. I have the EZ Zoom but also like the Olympus 17 mm 1.8. Larry
