Great post Derrick and congrats on starting the newsletter! I recently "rediscovered" my Pen F as a result of your nimble podcast last week, in that I hadn't shot with it in a couple of years. For a camera that is more than six and a half years old, it has held its utility amazingly well in our age of yearly "upgrades". There really is nothing like it, and like you I am renewing a love affair with a camera that I had sidelined for a bit. Apparently Chris Nagle never lost sight of the Pen F's excellence!!

Great post Derrick! I never had the D700, but I still have and use my D40x. Great designs (and quality construction) can have an amazingly long useful life!

What a camera it still is! I love digging out old gear and using it again.

This is great. Older DSLRs have a look that the newer ones don't. I still have my D200, D500 and D850. Each feels different and I wouldn't get rid of them. Thanks for sharing this story.

I really enjoyed the post, Derrick thanks. Recently I traded all my old Olympus Digital kit (except of course my beloved Pen F and a couple of primes) for a Canon 5D mk4 DSLR and lenses. My few old OM have a new lease of life!
