What's Your Favorite Road Trip Camera?
Are you a Nimble Photographer or more the "Go Big or Go Home" type?
Tossing your suitcase and shoulder bag in the car and heading out for parts unknown is one of the best summer adventures.
Unlike being held hostage on a plane or train, you can stop where you want, take pictures when you want, and arrive at your destination according to your schedule.
Speaking of taking pictures, there are many road trip philosophies regarding gear. Some photographers feel that since they can bring as much as they want in the car, why not pack all of their cameras and lenses? Others still prefer to travel light and have their valuables with them at all times.
Where do you stand on camera gear for road trips?
For me personally, if I’m not on assignment, my go-to road warrior is the Fujifilm X100V with three filters: Hoya polarizer, Hoya R72 IR, and the NISI Black Mist 1/4. I also bring along a lens hood and cable release. It all fits wonderfully with my MacBook Pro in a Lowepro Urban Reporter 150 shoulder bag.
Share with us your favorite road trip gear. Use the comments below to tell us about the kit you prefer.

There needs to be an option between all my gear and one camera and a few lenses. My casual kit is a body with a couple of lenses PLUS my IR camera and lens. For me, it's my FF Sony, a 24-15, a 100-400 and my APS-C Sony IR camera plus 18-135 lens. I can get all that plus a couple of extra batteries in my old LowePro sling bag.
